Protein Shake/Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup waterProtein Shake
  • 1 scoop (20-25 grams) protein powder
  • 1/2 – 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup spinach (optional)

 

Directions:

Blend and drink.  Not only is this shake great for athletes following their workout, it is also an excellent breakfast option for anyone looking to burn fat and lose weight!

Adjust the water content based on whether you prefer your shakes thinner or thicker.  Berries are the nutritionally optimal choice, but feel free to experiment with different fruit combinations.  Be brave and go for the spinach!  You won’t even taste it.  If you have a dairy intolerance or sensitivity, be sure to use a plant based protein powder such as rice, pea, or hemp.
