The Perfect Day-Starter

The best way to start your day is with a nutritious meal that will give you the energy you need to excel.  Here is a quick morning meal that takes 10 minutes to make, and will give you everything you need to attack the day!

What you need:

  • Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 2 Eggs: Recommended – Phil’s Cage Free Eggs
  • 8 Asparagus Stalks
  • 1 Serrano Pepper
  • 1 Slice Sprouted Grain Bread: Recommended – Food For Life 7 Sprouted Grains
  • Real Butter: Recommended- Land O Lakes Whipped Butter
  • 1/2 Organic Grapefruit
  • Slice of lemon

Directions:

In a skillet on med/high, heat the olive oil.  Thinly slice your serrano pepper and add it to the pan.  Cook for 2-3 minutes and  then add your asparagus cut into 1-2 inch pieces.  Add salt and pepper, and toss for 3-4 minutes.  Beat 2 eggs and add to pan.  Toss mixture for 1-2 minutes, or until desired consistency.  During the cooking, put 1 slice of toast in toaster and cut the grapefruit.  Pour yourself a cup of water with a lemon wedge squeezed in, plate your food, and enjoy!
